Between 1937 and 1941 every gentlemen driver that wanted to be competitive didn’t have any choice: to run with one of the four hundred sixty two BMW 128 that were built (a similar case to the Porche 911 in the seventies). The most notable detail of this model was the back part fused in aluminium, because it was the first time that this material was used in a car made in series. Its motor of 1.971 c.c., 6 cylinders in line and 80 CV, made it able to accelerate from 0 to 100 Km/h in just twelve seconds, which is considerable nowadays, so let’s imagine in that epoch.
Slot Classic wants to make a tribute to this vehicle, these personages, and a epoch that few manufacturers have remembered.
