Our passion for the most legendary endurance race, the 24 hours of Le Mans, merged with the fascination for the cars with the prancing horse anagram, have made us pay attention to the last Testa Rossa’s evolution, which was developed by that company since 1957.
This car was shorter between axles than the preceding versions. It featured the powerful and reliable engine with 12 cylinders in V, and this time it incorporated a new gear box with 5 gears supportive with the rear De Dion axle to improve the weight distribution; everything with disc brakes, instead of drums, and with telescopic shocks replacing the ones with hand lever, already obsolete. All these ingredients made of this Testa Rossa the most well-balanced of all the front engine Ferraris.
The model we reproduce this time belongs to the customers race version of the american brand NART, that enrolled it in this race to be driven by the belgium Andre Pilette and the legendary mexican pilot Ricardo Rodriguez, who with great regularity drove it a fantastic second place in the general ranking, completing the success of Ferrari in this race.
